Joe Cobb hits the wall hard at Lakeside Speedway - he got out of the car on his own, but it was obvious that he was hurting. We figured his sponsor could expect a visit Saturday morning! Ya' know what? He was back at the track the next weekend - can't keep those drivers down for long...

Packin' the track after the rain - Lakeside Speedway during the Jayhawk Modified Classic. Only two heats had been run when the downpour began - they brought out the packing trucks and stock cars to dry out the dirt - nobody could stay on track - especially turn 1...

The #50 Factory Stock takes a wild ride on it's side at Lakeside Speedway - right in front of the Flag Man - and us! Ron Caldwell walked away, his car needed a little help from Baker's Tow...
And while we're on the subject of fire - this Grand National driver was cooking, literally, one hot July night at Lakeside! I don't know how many laps he raced around, 4 or 5, the flames burning brighter and brighter each time around. We wondered why he wasn't black flagged, and if we were going to have watch him baked alive - but hey, he was racing for the win - Whatever It Takes! A second place finish - pretty darned good, hope the blisters are worth it!
