A couple of pictures: these top two are from
I-70 - sure wish they'd run the Craftsman Trucks out there again!

"The Brickyard" This is the coolest entryway - and had to share this picture of the #3 car, we miss seeing him on the track...
And look at all these people!

SHARON'S HOBBIES
I have a daughter, Caitlyn, 14 years old,
so her activities keep me busy.
I also enjoy reading, playing cards
and hanging out with family,
friends and our pets.
Jeff and I have known each other (and been best friends!) since August 24th, 1987 - officially becoming a couple on November 17, 1996. Jeff had been to several races throughout his life, but not me... Our first race we went to as a couple was in May of 1998 - the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series: Yellow Freight 200, I-70 Speedway, Odessa, Missouri. There we watched as Tony Raines won - the beginning of our need for speed... This same year we attended our first NASCAR Cup race - headed out to the "Brickyard" for the August 1st race. Even though it sucked watching (Jeff) Gordon beat Dale Earnhardt Sr., we both had such a wonderful experience - that track is huge!!
How we got into racing? For Jeff it was definitely Dale Earnhardt Sr., "The Intimidator". As for me,
I love the rush I get when the cars start up - the wind as they race around the trace - and oh, the smell
from the cars... makes both our nipples perky! When Dale Sr. died, Jeff's interest shifted to Dale Jr.,
he enjoys watching the legacy continue. I have enjoyed watching so many drivers, such as: Steve Park,
Ryan Newman, Jeremy Mayfield, Jeff Burton, and Elliot Sadler. If I have to pick a favorite car -
definitely the M&M car - I'm an M&M Freak!
This year we attended our first dirt track race at Lakeside Speedway in Kansas City, Kansas - this was a whole new level of racing for us both! The excitement we shared as a race couple was unforgettable. The interaction between the drivers and their race fans was amazing, and has made us eager to go to that
little dirt track a lot next season!
A word from NASCarla: Jeff and Sharon are the perfect pick for the Fan Spotlight... During their first visit to Lakeside, Jeff leans over to me and says, "I hate to say this, but this beats the hell out of NASCAR!" I watched Sharon as she watched the Modifieds tear-up the track - it was like the first time, utter amazement is what I saw - sheer delight - it's indescribable!
Finally, after numerous seconds and always being competitive, Sharon won the coveted Gill Studios 2005 Night Shift Fantasy NASCAR league. We divide our season into two halves, and draft both halves during the Bud Shoot-out in early February. To the overall winner goes a case of their favorite beverage from EACH team owner, and the first and second half winners each get a 12 pack. That's 10 cases, or 12 packs, and Sharon won the 2nd half and the overall, she was literally swimming in Budweiser! By the way, Sharon's team is "Ramsdell's Ride", Jeff's last name is Ramsdell, you can draw your own conclusions about how she came up with her team name! But 2006 is another season, this year she's passing the Crown to Jeff, who won the 1st half and Overall - These two make a powerful Fantasy couple!
