I first got into NASCAR to have a shared hobby with my friends. Then I went to the track and got caught up in the energy of the sport. My first race was at Kansas Speedway, a truck race in 2004. I was struck by the loyalty of the fans.

Some are hard-core one-driver fans, while others, like me, may have a favorite driver, but still have others they like. Over the last couple of years I seem to have developed a Need For Speed! There's nothing like the roar of the engines as they speed past you at the track. I've become hooked - after each race I find myself looking forward to the next one...

My other hobbies include: Reading, spending time with my sister's kids and watching Court TV.
No pets, but I do love animals!

Track I most want to visit: Talladega!!

I first became interested in racing after seeing "NASCAR" at the IMAX Theater in Branson, Missouri during April of 2004. In October of that same year I was offered tickets to the Cup race and turned them down, thinking my wife Amy wouldn't be interested in going to a race. After telling her I had turned down tickets to the Cup race, she asked me if I was crazy, or what. She was defiantly ready to go to the races! At the races... as soon as they started the engines and came around for the first lap we knew we were hooked. Wow! What a rush that was! I enjoy all

WANDA HEAD
Hi Fellow Race Fans! A long, long time ago - when I was a little girl growing up in Osawatomie, Kansas, there was a dirt track between Osawatomie and Paola. Dad took Mom, little sister and me to watch the races. My favorite Factory Stock car was purple... I can still remember cheering him on! I have been working at Gill Studios since 1969 and Pam Walker has been my co-worker and friend for as long as she's been working there. Last year she invited me to come watch her brother Duane Walker Sr. race his #19 Modified at Lakeside Speedway, and I've been going ever since... I GOT DIRT!!
Pam also invited me to the Pits to see the car and meet driver Duane Sr. and Jr., the Walker Team. I was shocked to see how the car was built. Pipe and sheet metal, from that moment on I've had a great deal more respect for anyone in any car - on any track! I don't like large crowds or large tracks. I prefer Lakeside. I like sitting with friends and families of other drivers so I can cheer for them too. I prefer DIRT over asphalt!
The power of 20 or 25 cars charging around turn 4 vibrates the air and stands, exhaust and dirt in the air is great! It gets in your hair, eyes, ears and nose - it's GREAT! You should come once and see - we are in Section D, real close to E, up close to the top row. Pick a car and cheer them on, it doesn't matter if they come in 1st, 12th, 20th or last - you'll have so much fun...
My Hobbies: Dirt Racing, Antique Malls and going to the movies.
Favorite Drivers: #19 Duane Walker Sr. (Modified) #7x Robert Brown (Factory Stock)
#42 Gene Claxton (Modified) #16$ Chad Lyle (Grand National)
SEE YOU AT THE TRACK!!!
