Scott Riggs is the driver that caught my eye in the Craftsman Truck series, 2001. I was still a Rookie Fan at that time, so I don't remember what race I was watching that he won. I followed him into the Busch series; drove out to Talladega in 2002 to watch him run the spring race. He was in that horrific turn 3 wreck, I think by the end of the race there were only 3 cars on the lead lap. I just knew he would be in the Cup races soon - Scott sure didn't let me down! Kansas Speedway had a big fan thing called Thunderfest October of 2002 - Scott was there - one of my sisters got a picture of me standing with Scott. But you know what - we never did find that camera - it was one of those one-time-use things... The only other pictures I have of him are from a distance. I got his autograph last year in Kansas, stood in his line for an hour at the souvenier trailer. Even bought a shirt for him to sign, and even though it's a large, I can hardly get it over my head, let alone the rest of my body! While 3 Sisters Racing was at the Gateway race this summer we stopped by the trailer that has Scott's items, and talked to the vendors a little - I told her I was really excited about meeting Scott Riggs this year in Kansas, and how gracious he'd been in the other times I'd gotten his autograph. Next year will be so exciting - with Scott and Valvoline moving over to Evernham's Team. I sure am glad I don't have to switch motor oil again! Now, if you could get some kind of chocolate milk sponsor Scott, sure would appreciate it - I miss that stuff! Gotta be loyal to the sponsors though...

SCOTT RIGGS

The #10 car is following the 2004 Kansas Speedway theme of "The Wizard of Oz", all painted up as the Tin Man. We're wondering, is that the only way outsiders think of Kansas? Clint Bowyer, who grew up in this state, said "It's a great state to fly over". Please, before the Kansas Speedway came here, we had an awesome tourist site... you could stop off somewhere in western Kansas and take a look at The World's Largest Prairie Dog... Well, used to be the largest, now that honor belongs to Judy. She now takes care of The World's Largest Prairie Dog, his name is Jarrett.

This picture is the only one I have from Thunderfest, Kansas Busch Race 2004. Scott finished 23rd in that race, only one lap down...

I'm getting closer to the man - the vendor at this trailer is so nice, I hope he has a little larger shirt for me to buy this year - there's hardly room for an autograph on the one I have now!

GREAT RUN IN TEXAS SCOTT! YEE HAW!!!
