2004 on Trackside at Kansas Speedway, Clint was up on the stage with Rusty Wallace, and when they showed the tape of his modified #79 (three-wheelin'!) he goes "there's the old Dirt Girl" - so cool! Clint Bowyer and Kerry Davis dominated at Lakeside the summer of 2001, the year I got into dirt track racing - made for some extremely stimulating Friday nights... Distancing himself from the field, Clint was noticed by Richard Childress, and the rest is becoming NASCAR history! I'm not exaggerating, this guy is a formidable competitor; with a level head, a huge supporting family and friend base - I have no doubt that one of these days in the near future he will be collecting that Busch Series Championship Trophy. Then onto the Nextel Cup Championship, just wait and see! In the meantime, hopefully he'll be making some appearances at Lakeside, perhaps when they are in Kansas in October. Lakeside is having it's Capital Federal Late Model Showdown and Modified Shoot-out - one awesome weekend! Hope to see you there in the 'old dirt girl', Clint! - Well - HE MADE IT!!!

The top two pictures are from one of Clint's trips to Lakeside during a by weekend IN 2005. He borrowed one of Tim Karrick's (2006 NASCAR Modified Champion) cars, came in second to Kerry Davis - it was such an incredible Feature race! Kerry didn't realize that it was Clint in the Karrick #1x , probably because Karrick was also on the track fighting for a win in the #1 car - both the same color scheme. As Kerry took the trophy, the announcer asked him what it felt like to win over Bowyer - he said, "Was that Bowyer, I thought it was Karrick... Man, I just beat a Cup driver!" That was so exciting, we were thrilled for both Davis and Bowyer - they gave us one hell of a show!
This picture to the left was taken at Thunderfest 2002 in Kansas at The Woodlands, sure wish somebody would do that again... This is Clint's late model, he was sitting at a table with Kevin Harvick - how cool is that??? I had been standing in Ryan Newman's line, and since he was 20 minutes late I missed Clint and Kevin. So, Pam took this picture of me and the car, I had it signed by Clint at Lakeside one night, hopefully he'll recognize me at some point - I've had him autograph three things on different occasions and have yet to see a glimmer of recognition in his eyes. I understand, I'm just one of the thousands of his fans - but have got to be the most loyal...

OK - it's 2007 now - and Clint's already shown his fearless side - crossed
the finish line on his top at (of all places!) Daytona - a fiery finish -
he calmly exited the car...
"Actually," he said, "it was pretty cool." Full
story...
